May CHRIST our GOD always keep HIS hands of protection over you and deliver you from the evil one. Your story reminded me of the Samaritan Woman. Tomorrow at my Temple, we remember her in the Divine Liturgy. St Photini (St Svetlana) is the First Evangelist and she was a Gentile like you and me. After she encountered Christ, she told her entire town about the Messiah. Her entire family converted to The Dao (The Way, which is the name of the early of Christian church). She, a woman, is counted in the ancient Orthodox Church as the 13th Apostle, equal among the 12. The Pagan Roman Government had come down hard on Christians, persecuting & killing them. This spirit of Anti-Christ is still here today and rising in America, especially in its Blue Cities & Blue States. In California, there is a bill coming that might ban the Bible and any Christian counsel in matters pertaining to homosexuality, transgenderism, etc. Anyway, St Photini's sons were executed because they did not deny the Christ though one son was a decorated Roman Commander who fought against the government's enemies. Her sister did not deny CHRIST, too, and her breasts were cut off, then her limbs were tied to stretched down trees, and her limbs torn off when the ropes were cut. St Photini suffered torture, too. Finally, the government threw her into a well until she finally died. All of these Saints became martyrs that we, Orthodox, remember, venerate and inspire us to persevere in our Christian walk to be like Christ. The point here is that these Martyrs never felt pain as they were tortured & killed by Divine Intervention, it is said in our records, and this is what happened to you. But thank GOD, you were not killed. I will pray for you. Let us pray too for our Christian brethren, 10s of millions, who suffer in Syria, North Korea, Nigeria... who are displaced, tortured and martyred by Radical Islam and Radical Communism. Peace be unto you.
