Happy 2011 to All

January 2, 2011 at 09:13AM

Happy 2011 to all!! It feels good to be Twenty-Eleven!

I've personally been waiting for 2011 for a long while now ever since I came back to Honolulu from NYC in September 2010. I often feel, now more than before, that time is behind and it needs to catch up. You ever felt or feel that way or is it just me?

How was your 2010? Have you reflected upon your reach of goals, dreams and aspirations in 2010?

Reflecting back: year 2010 was a productive one and I would title it the "Year of the Hustle." I worked against many odds and set backs. Set backs that could go on for days. But I'll blog just about one: I went without a working home computer for the majority of 2010. I adapted best I could to the limited net access (folks that know me know that I don't have a cell phone

Hawaii Sensation Jason Tom, beat boxer

December 24, 2008 08:12 PM | by Maimounah Masudi

Over the years I have seen all kinds of musical talents from different parts of the country and the world. I love the ones that bring something new or something old with a fresh twist on it, not straying too much from the origin. One day I came across a guy on a website that was a music artist. He was very different from the average music artists in that he performed without any background music. The music was actually coming from within him. He himself was actually a musical instrument. I was amazed at his talent. He has fresh sounds, you can see the energy popping off of him,…

July 20, 2008 at 06:03AM

My performance at the Tantra Album Party is dedicated in loving memory of Sandra Li. Sandra, you are greatly missed. I miss you Sandra!
Happy birthday to you Jake Shimabukuro. Can you believe it Jake? That exactly 11 years ago on your birthday, we did this performance pictured here together that today I still run into people who were there that night that speak about it. In fact, last night I ran into someone who just talked to me about our performance. It is regarded as a fan favorite for sure. Earlier this year, I reunited with another fan of ours who also caught this performance of ours 11 years ago. Can you believe it? Incredible right? When the season is right, let's do another in the near Jake. Enjoy your show tonight as you are with my buddy Jody Kamisato, and Honoka and Azita. Keep up the great work Jake! Love you brother!

To be intentional with Father God is to be intimate with God the Son and to be counseled by God the Holy Spirit. When I decided to get intentional with Jesus is when the devil's plan of destruction over my life failed. Had the devil's plans succeeded last year I would not be alive to write my first faith blog post today, literally, and this past October 24th marked my ninth year intentional walk with Father God. The devil flunked the course when Jesus rescued and avenged me. Jesus is our avenger. Jesus is our way maker. We can overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of our testimony: http://jasontom.com/entries/faith/nine-year-walk-with-god

Go Owls! Whoooo! On my way to teach my beatboxing student Rease who attends Mid-Pacific Institute I crossed the path of my student's fans and they stopped me for us to take this amazing group photo of our's. Also this week Rease got voted by his peers and classmates to perform for their school's talent show. I will be there to support Rease. Five years prior to teaching Rease, I performed for his school's students his current grade now at Mid-Pacific Institute and today those same students remember me and are currently high school seniors. I recently ran into these seniors and it was rewarding to reunite with them since when.
