What is JasonTom.com Valued Worth

July 27, 2017 at 01:30AM

I remember about two years ago when a website owner approached me about purchasing his domain and it was an opportunity I seriously thought about. Would have a been a nice project to work on, and the potential of what may have been. I was not the highest bidder and it got sold to someone else. The asking price of the owner was somewhere in the neighborhood of the four digit land. How much it sold for once it was sold though is an undisclosed amount and it's currently in the right hands in the rebranding process.

I have an idea of what it is to have maintained and to maintain JasonTom.com a near decade to be reliable and to function at optimal level so that folks can contact me direct to book and hire me for a project and or event, etc. I will say the value have increased since my last personal assessment.

Doing a more recent assessment, JasonTom.com is valued for a $987,299.…

Flody Mayweather and Conor McGregor World Press Tour Los Angeles

July 12, 2017 at 12:53AM

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor kicked off their World Tour in Los Angeles with this press conference on July 11, 2017 at the Staples Center. What were your thoughts on this first press conference? For me, I felt that Floyd Mayweather served Conor McGregor in my honest feedback. This was quite an entertaining press conference. This will be an exciting fight for fight fans to see on August 26th at the MGM Grand. I know Floyd is a lot older, but I am a firm believer that experience in that boxing ring will aid Floyd. As a boxing and fight fan, I do want to see Floyd put on a boxing clinic on Conor. People say that Floyd have not seen a fighter like Conor, but to me it's the other way around. Conor have not fought a fighter like Floyd. People say Conor is great, but Floyd is phenomenal. Floyd already has something that Conor will not be able to accomplish and that's a 49…

Jason Tom Amphitheater for KCC

July 9, 2017 at 11:04PM

Today, I stumbled upon this article "Dream Christmas Wish List for Kapiʻolani Community College" by Chris Takahashi featured on The Kapiʻo News. The Jason Tom Amphitheater made it on his Dream Wish List for University of Hawaiʻi at Kapiʻolani (my Alma mater). Unbelievable that It has been over a decade since I have officially graduated from KCC. It was not until today that an amphitheater named after me have been dreamt of and is being pitched. Got to give it up to Chris Takahashi for having dreamt that up. I have to meet this guy one day. A visionary. What an honor it would be for it to come to fruition hey? The Kapiʻo News reporter Lexus Yamashiro is currently writing up an upcoming feature on me for The Kapi'o News on my experiences as a KCC alumnus. Be on the look out for that on KapioNews.com

Bible Shopping at Logos Bookstore

May 13, 2017 at 11:46PM

My Word of Life brother in Christ Jesus and Life Group leader and mentor John Lum on Team Wally told me recently that he wants to purchase a new New King James Version translation of the Holy Bible as his original copy has pages falling apart. Then I said that I will bless him with a new one. We kicked off our day by having breakfast at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue and then we went bible shopping for the NKJV Bible at Logos Bookstore in Kakaako. Then while we waited in line, we met this gentleman in front of us by the name of Kenny and his wife Jackie. When it was Kenny's turn to purchase their items. Kenny took John and I by surprise and he said he will bless us both. Favor! God's favor! So grateful to you Jesus for all you do! Thank you Kenny! Thank you Jesus! Thank you John! We love you Jesus! We are the Men of God that we are Today, because of you Jesus! We are all grateful for…

Story on this Gecko, Man

May 8, 2017 at 08:51AM

One of my early comic book character creations of approximately 25 to 27 years, during my second attempt at first grade when I moved to another elementary school and second grade through third grade, is Gecko Man. I drew Gecko Man then as a reflection of who I was as a child though in an adult body with a cape with superhero strength and capabilities like laser shooting powers from my hands with a superhero body spandex suit. Kind of like Spider-Man, Ice Man, Superman, and Batman. This Gecko Man character came to me when I put my hand on a pole and I felt warmth. I thought to myself, hmm, this doesn't feel hard like what a metal pole would feel like. Instead it felt soft and warm. So I looked under my hand was a gecko chilling on the pole even though I touched it. The gecko nor I were startled to my surprise, and I felt an immediate bond with this gecko. From there I felt like I had …

Iolani School Boy Scouts

April 28, 2017 at 09:59PM

The number one fear in the world? Public speaking. Growing up on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, I'd shake or freeze up from nervousness and shyness when speaking in front of class among my peers. Made me quite self-conscious. I preferred being in the audience and I feared having the spotlight. Fast forward to today, having performed live beatboxing music and having done public speaking engagements such as the first and second TEDx Talks in Honolulu and other engagements in hip-hop culture classrooms in universities and events through 13 years have compelled me to get out of my comfort zone to develop my current personality and today, I no longer get the jitters unless I stop practicing and training. Earlier tonight, I spoke publicly in front of Hawaii's 4th graders at Iolani School and you know you're a public speaker when you have a captive audience as young as 4th graders. Hey now!

I …

Music Business And Audio Engineering

April 28, 2017 at 11:24AM

I stopped by the Mike Curb College MELE Program offered through Belmont University and University of Hawaii at Honolulu Community College advocated by Hawaii's former 2-term Governor Linda Lingle and Lieutenant Governor Duke Aiona. And while at Honolulu Community College to meet up with my friend early this week I ran into two current MELE Music Business and Audio Engineering students. Long story short, after our formal introduction, they tell me, "get out, you're Jason Tom, our teacher spoke about you this morning and how you're one of the top beatboxers in this world." I said, "wow, really? You mean Eric Lagrimas? He was my former teacher in the Mike Curb MELE Program." They responded, "yes, he covered about hip-hop music and he mentioned your name." Thank you to all of the amazing teachers out there!

My Heroes and Influences

April 21, 2017 at 10:07PM

Many of my heroes and influences are the people I grew up with and some are those I have watched from afar. Many I've met and many I haven't. My heroes include my family, relatives, friends, colleagues, past and presentAcademy beatboxers, people of all walks, my fans, and the community. Here is a list of those you may or may not recognize who I have been inspired by and have been influenced by in one way or another.

  • Maximus Ornelas (Sep 7, 2001 - Feb 26, 2017; age 15)
I have not met or known of Maximus George Ornelas until today when I stumbled upon his obituary article in the Yakima Herald and I read that he had passed on due to a severe asthma attack and that one of his passions is to beatbox.

I looked if he had a Facebook and discovered he had videos uploaded of him beatboxing and I watched them.. I can tell he was really into it and that he was very passionate about i…

Legend of Zelda Story at Hot Topic

April 15, 2017 at 01:22PM

Two years ago I met this trio Jennifer, Jeffrey and Charley at the Legend of Zelda section of the Ala Moana Center's Hot Topic store and one of them recognized me from one of my past performances at a hip-hop jam. I shared with them I was shopping for Legend of Zelda gear as I am about to prepare for my friend's son's 1st Birthday Party and the party theme is the Legend of Zelda. Then last year, Charley and Jennifer as well as the Kaimuki High School Band supported and voted for me in the NextNext Hawaii Music Competition and Charity Event where the proceeds from their votes went to the charity of my choice, the Ronald McDonald House Hawaii. Jennifer also shared with me that she was assisted by the Ronald McDonald House Charity and this meant so much to her and also meant much more to me to know someone I met was helped through this charity I am all supportive of. I placed 3rd wi…

Thank You Inspire Youth

April 11, 2017 at 05:05AM

This was lit. I want to personally thank Inspire Youth's Pastor Clint Chinen and his head pastor Mike Kai for having me open for guest Pastor Jedidiah Thurner for Friday Night Flow at Inspire Church Waikele. We had 45 first-time decisions for Jesus Christ and 76 rededications. I've once been there for both Altar calls and I am grateful of what God has called me to do in the works of the ministry with my life and the life of others including the children, youth and young adults who made Friday Night Flow happen. I also want to thank Josh Williams also known as J Wills for beatboxing with me to close Friday Night Flow. And Josiah for beatbox battling me to assist me in setting the tone of Friday Night Flow evening prior to me opening for Jedidiah Thurner in the main sanctuary! It was fire!

Ukulele Beatbox Tutorial

April 11, 2017 at 01:13AM

Jody Kamisato and Jason Tom with this Ukulele Beatbox Collaborative Tutorial. An ukulele is a 4-string instrument that originated in Portugal and it was later introduced to the Hawaiian Islands during the plantation period and the ukuelele was adopted into our Hawaiian Music Culture throughout the Hawaiian Islands. It's an instrument that nearly all residents young and old of the Hawaiian Islands pick up and start playing or have at one point picked up playing and tried it. Beatboxing originates in the A Cappella vocal art tradition from the musical stylings and genre of jazz with scat singing and the urban hip-hop music culture and can be traced even further back to African cultural vocal traditions and languages. Jody and Jason had a great time with this collaborative tutorial, please let us know what you think in the comments. Thank you!

Aye that's lit. Keep doing what you're doing and you're putting a positive influence to a lot people

Jason Tom is a one-of-a-kind individual. During my sophomore year of high school, I remember watching him beatbox for our school for just a few minutes and was blown away by the amount of talent he was able to showcase in just that limited amount of time. Fast forward about three years or so, I was looking to write a feature story of a KCC alumnus/alumna for the KCC newspaper and came across Jason's name online. He was quick to respond to me when I reached out to him, and he was very interested in being featured. I got the chance to interview him, and couldn't believe the stories that he had to share with me. Over a two hour period, I was able to learn a lot about who Jason was, and he has proved to me that anybody can make it in life when even in the toughest situations. His humor and charismatic nature really bring his personality to life, and I blows me away to know that he has a positive impact on the community not only through his beatboxing but also through his words. Jason is inspiring, and I'm glad that I got to chat with him and share his story with many others and beyond.

Cool, you will become more popular.

That would be really cool to see that! It would be an honor!

Happy to say that the story of Jason has been published and can be read on our Kapi'o website at https://www.kapionews.com/index.php/2017/07/19/kcc-alumnus-inspires-community-through-beatboxing-motivational-speaking/. Thanks again Jason for allowing me the opportunity to share your story with many others, and for shedding light on our growing student newspaper! Check out kapionews.com for more!

This is awesome! Well-deserved for bradda Jason! This guy knows how to work hard, puts himself out there and performs. He also knows how to give back

Cool, you would become more popular.
