The Venue Tonight

September 11, 2010 at 11:38AM

My first performance back in Honolulu. It's going to be a party tonight in Chinatown!

Oahu Fringe Festival Launch
When: Saturday, September 11th
Where: The Venue (1146 Bethel St)
Time: 7-11pm

What is A Fringe Fest You Might Ask?

Well lets just say it's much more then a fashion statement.
It all began with the Fringe theatre movement, which was a term used to describe alternative theatre, or "entertainment not of the mainstream".

Focused on the performing arts, you will find a smorgasbord of characters lined up to display their many talents. Fringes are a variety show to the extreme, with a carnival like atmosphere mixed and a dash of Alice in Wonderland.

The Launch of this new edgy performing arts festival is on Saturday September 11, 2010 simultaneously at The Venue, The ARTS at Marks Garage and Laughtrack Theatre – a single night of cabaret, live theatre, comedy, dance, music, slam poetry, improv, and more. Some of our performers include; Robert Reed, Jeff Gere, Monkey Waterfall, James McCarthy, Jamie Nakama, Eva Bosch, Brian Shaughnessy, Convergence Dance Theater, Cherry Blossom Cabaret, Todd Umumi, Mary Babcock, Uvovu + Yeda, Samadhi Hawaii, Red Rockets, Leanne Sims, Ronald Giliam, Erica Loveland, Jason Tom, Laughtrack Theatre, James Mane, Mike C Hall, All The Worlds Stage & More…….

If on Saturday night you find yourself at a Fringe Fest, we can guarantee it will be everything and anything But Boring!!

O'ahu Fringe Festival is a partnership between Tim Bostock Productions, The ARTS at Marks Garage, The Culture and Arts District and Projexart.
