January 4, 2016 at 04:57PM

We’re moving to a new location!!  Join us this Thursday (January 7th) at Hawaiian Brian’s for a top-notch installment of First Thursdays!!  The new space is located at 1680 Kapiolani Boulevard (on the 2nd floor). Hawaiian Brian’s is a premier performance space, and we will be in the large Crossroads concert hall. Parking is $2 if you stay for less than 4 hours, and $5 flat if you stay longer. There is plenty of street parking in the area as well (note, if you street park or walk/bike/bus, enter through the 24 Hour Fitness lobby on Kapi`olani and walk up the stairs). As always, this HawaiiSlam show will be hosted by Kealoha and will feature:

-- Jason Bayani, a veteran of the National Poetry Slam scene who has been a member of 7 National Poetry Slam teams and has been a National Poetry Slam finalist. He is the author of "Amulet" from Write Bloody Press. Bayani is an MFA grad from Saint Mary's College, a Kundiman fellow, and is currently the program manager for Kearny Street Workshop, the oldest multi-disciplinary Asian Pacific American arts organization in the country.
-- An official qualifier for the 2015-2016 HawaiiSlam season. Normal slam rules apply, and the top two poets will advance to the 2016 Grand Slam Finals (on April 7th, 2016) that will determine HawaiiSlam’s 13th National Poetry Slam team. Winner of this qualifier slam receives $100.
-- Turntable Sorcery by DJ Mr. Nick (KTUH/HPR)

You are a man of many talents! A true renaissance man.
Every time I hear a gecko in my house, I feel a sense of peace. Gecko Man!

That is such a neat story and cool creation to use from it! I believe Jason Tom becomes more and more creative because he has an audience to speak to. Keep expressing JT! We're absorbing you!!

I am glad you are putting your dreams into reality! The only way to progress is to always push forward. Every step will lead you to your destination. I am wondering what your plans are for this logo? Honest opinion, visually, the color of him is a little washed out. Depending on how you brand this and use it, people may not understand what this is, but is an amazing vector and captures your personality and essence. I can't wait to see where this takes you!

I really like the concept and the drawing! Really moves the reader

Cool story bro.

This is pretty dope! And cute story

Awesome J! Thx for sharing, really dig Gecko Man! Cool to hear about your personal experiences and how they influence your art. Keep it up man, you're rocking it!
