My impromptu performance with B.Cap and Santino at the Dragon Upstairs with the Jazz Minds family. My performance was dedicated to Santino (one of my vocal heroes who I met at the Dragon Upstairs two years ago). I will miss you Santino! Thank you so much for all that you've mentored me about Santino! Your vocal skills blow my mind.

Recap of what has been going on. Growing up I always loved visuals that told a story, whether it'd be through illustrations, film or photographs. So here are photos courtesy of Joe Marquez (the Smoking Camera):
Global Dance Cafe 6 at Oceans 808 (in preparation for the 2010 PUJA Dance Concert: Love Letters on June 5th & 6th) was a lot of fun.... big ups to Willow Chang for inspiring me to utilize more of my "dance." My hat tips off to the late Michael Jackson, Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire. They'r…
I had no idea these videos from ISA LA 2009 were online since January 2010 until some time last week Thursday. I rarely surf YouTube due to my limited Internet access, but this was a nice suprise. I had a ton of fun in Los Angeles last year and at ISA. I will never forget the ISA experience (both in San Francisco and Los Angeles). Thank you Crispee Productions!

A-Profiler is a regular series profiling up-and-coming and established artists in an informal questions-and-answers format. If you would like to find out about past profiles or would like to be profiled, visit http://www.aarising.com/aprofiler/ for more information.
Save the time and date to come out this Saturday, April 24th for the Global Dance Cafe 6, 6:30pm-9:30pm. It's an all ages dance event at Oceans 808, and it's also a fundraiser for the annual PUJA dance concert. $10 entry, FREE parking, food & drinks. Mahalo goes out to the street team, restaurants, tattoo spots, Willow Chang, Passport Productions, Joe Marquez of the Smoking Camera, and more!

A few weeks ago I did an interview with May Pang's Asian Media Internet News (AMIN) journalist Maimounah Masudi. I share my story along with my experiences with opening for Quest Crew, the Jabbawockeez, Michael Winslow, and my awe-inspiring experience at the International Secret Agents concerts in 2009. Click below image for the complete interview:
This Friday I will be performing as a special guest artist for the "Junior 'LIVE' in Waikiki" show at the Ainahau Showroom.

Last week JT of Good Life brought Japan's human beatbox Afra over for two shows at the Lotus Soundbar. It was my first time at the Lotus Soundbar and meeting Afra. Big Mox was also there to jam on the mic with Afra. For the longest I've heard many good stories of Afra (such as him visiting the beatbox community in New York organized by Kid Lucky's Beatboxer Entertainment), and I knew of Afra as the most known/top beatboxer from Japan. Afra, hit me up the next time you're in town.

Here I am Hawai…

My personal 5 Recap on what has gone on in relation to my beatboxing from December 2009 to February 2010 in chronological order:
1. Opening for Michael Winslow was the cream of the crop for my entire 2009 and career. It was a real honor to work with someone I grew up watching in the Poice Academy films. After my performance he encourage…
